The Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Business Cooperation between MSME Centers for the Development of the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) Benoa Harbor

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) is fully supporting the collaborative steps of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) or Pelindo III with PT Sarinah (Persero) to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Province of Bali.



"MSMEs is one of the foundations of the national economy. Therefore, as a business entity that has a role as an agent of development, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) continue to carry out various initiatives to build the nation. These include the development of MSMEs which are one of the pillars of the country's economy through three pillars of empowering MSMEs, namely increasing the business capacity and competence of MSMEs, encouraging financial institutions to be friendly to MSMEs, and increasing cross-sector coordination to support the MSME ecosystem" said Loto S. Ginting.

Especially at this time, all sectors affected by COVID-19, including MSMEs. With the empowerment of MSMEs, it is hoped that the national economic recovery can encounter all levels, especially now the Government is echoing the National Proud Indonesian Movement (BBI).

The President Director of PT Pelindo III, U. Saefudin Noer said that the collaboration step with Sarinah is a form of the company's seriousness to participate in efforts to empower MSMEs. According to Saefudin Noer, Pelindo III is currently carrying out the mandate to accelerate the development of Benoa Port to become the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH). Furthermore, BMTH will display a tourism port that becomes the entrance for foreign tourists using cruise ships. Pelindo III is also preparing so that BMTH can provide benefits and added value for MSME players.
