Sarinah Presents the Official Jersey of the Indonesian Team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand

JAKARTA, 1 Desember 2025 — The latest jersey collection of the Indonesian Team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand was officially introduced today through a collaboration between Sarinah and the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation as the design curatorial partner, with support from PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) as the event host.

The collection curated by the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation showcases an artistic approach that highlights the authenticity of Nusantara traditions. Sarinah developed the designs in line with the curatorial direction, ensuring visual interpretations that remain aligned with Indonesia's cultural character. Fine carved patterns inspired by Toraja craftsmanship serve as the primary design elements, presented in a modern and dynamic composition. The presence of spontaneous red-and-white strokes created by Yogyakarta-based artist Iabadiou Piko further accentuates the visual character and energy of the collection, making it more expressive and rich in artistic meaning.

During the event, Didit Hediprasetyo stated that the design is not merely a uniform for the competition, but also a cultural statement. “This jersey is inspired by the authenticity of our traditions combined with the beauty of Indonesia’s diverse natural landscapes,” said Didit.

Aligned with the curatorial direction, the design embodies the theme ‘Spirit of The Nation’ as a representation of the determination, pride, and spirit of the Indonesian athletes in bringing honor to the nation at the 2025 SEA Games. The theme is expressed through the combination of red and white as national identity, complemented by earthy green tones representing the fertility of Indonesia’s tropical landscape. The refined design is then produced by Mills as the party responsible for ensuring that the final product meets athletic performance standards.

President Director of PT Sarinah, Raisha Syarfuan, stated that this collaboration aligns with Sarinah’s focus as a Cultural Experience Center that elevates Indonesian cultural heritage through contemporary interpretations without losing its meaning. She said, “Sarinah is proud to collaborate with the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation to present a design that is not only functional for athletes but also conveys a visual narrative of national pride and the strength of our character.”

As the federation overseeing the Indonesian Team, the National Olympic Committee of Indonesia (NOC Indonesia) considers the jersey as a significant symbol representing national identity. Chairman of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, conveyed, “This jersey is not just a competition uniform, it is a statement of who we are as a nation. This collaboration demonstrates how sports can serve as a bridge for Indonesian culture to shine on the International stage.”

The event was made even more meaningful with the selection of Terminal 1C at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport as the venue. PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia recently completed the revitalization of Terminal 1C, which now features a more modern and authentic design enriched with elements that reflect Indonesia’s unique character. This atmosphere is in harmony with the jersey concept that also highlights the richness of national culture.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Mohammad R. Pahlevi,  stated, “We are honored and proud that Terminal 1C has been chosen as the venue for launching the official jersey of the Indonesia Team for the 2025 SEA Games. The newly revitalized Terminal 1C, which now presents a significantly improved environment, is dedicated to delivering the best journey experience while supporting initiatives that bring pride to the Indonesian nation.”

Terminal 1C began full operations in November 2025 following the revitalization, were now features a redesigned aesthetic space, expansive green areas, preserved Indonesian design elements, and advanced technology. The terminal contributes to increasing the capacity of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to 96 million passengers per year.

The official jersey of the Indonesia Team for the 2025 SEA Games collection will be available exclusively at Sarinah ahead of the national contingent’s departure. A portion of the jersey sales will be donated toward natural disaster relief efforts in Sumatra, while the non–sports apparel collection developed using the same design concept will be available through made-to-order purchases via the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation, with all proceeds dedicated to humanitarian solidarity initiatives in Sumatra.

This collaboration marks an important moment that brings together Indonesia’s sports, fashion, art, and cultural worlds to further strengthen the position of national creativity on the regional and international stage.
