15 State-Owned Enterprises Collaborate Through Sarinah Pandu to Elevate MSMEs with Integrated Mentorship

A total of 68 beneficiaries of the Micro and Small Business Financing Program (PUMK) participated in a training program organized by PT Sarinah (Persero) in Medan.

Medan, June 2026 – PT Sarinah (Persero) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the growth of Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through Sarinah Pandu: A Collaborative Capacity Building Program for SOEs' Micro and Small Business Financing Program (PUMK) Partners, held at Four Points by Sheraton Medan on Tuesday (June 23). The program brought together 68 MSMEs supported by 15 State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in a shared learning platform designed to strengthen business capabilities and enhance competitiveness.

Driven by the spirit of collaboration, Sarinah served not only as the program organizer but also as the provider of the training curriculum, delivered by Sarinah professionals with extensive experience in mentoring MSMEs, curating products, developing branding strategies, and expanding market access for Indonesian local brands. Through a practical, experience-based approach, participants gained actionable insights to support the growth of their businesses.

President Director of PT Sarinah (Persero), Raisha Syarfuan, emphasized that empowering MSMEs requires more than access to financing.

"Indonesian MSMEs possess tremendous potential. However, to achieve sustainable growth and compete in an increasingly competitive market, they need comprehensive business capacity building. Through Sarinah Pandu, we aim to share the practical knowledge and experience that we have applied in developing and curating Indonesian local brands. We believe that collaboration among SOEs will create a stronger development ecosystem, enabling more MSMEs to scale up and become competitive in both domestic and global markets," said Raisha.

During the program, participants received training in three fundamental aspects of business development: Financial Literacy, Legal Compliance & Certification, and Marketing & Branding. These modules were designed to address common challenges faced by MSMEs, ranging from financial management and regulatory compliance to building strong brand identities that meet evolving market demands.

The event was attended by Rugun Hutapea, Senior State-Owned Enterprise Governance Officer at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia; Antonius Aris Bangun Prasetyo, Development Head of Micro Business Development at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk; as well as representatives responsible for the PUMK Partnership Program from the 15 participating SOEs.

Rugun Hutapea expressed her appreciation for the collaboration among SOEs in strengthening the capabilities of Indonesia's MSMEs.

"Collaboration among State-Owned Enterprises in supporting MSMEs is a strategic initiative that creates broader and more sustainable impact. Through programs like this, we hope more MSMEs will be able to strengthen their business capabilities, expand their market reach, and grow into sustainable enterprises. Ultimately, the growth of MSMEs will contribute to improving community welfare while supporting Indonesia's national economic development," she said.

The collaborative initiative involved PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), PT Jasa Raharja, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero), PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, PT Kawasan Industri Medan (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), PT Pegadaian (Persero), PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT Taspen (Persero), and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
